Family recipes capture cherished holiday memories. Often passed down in writing or by rote, they disappear over time, along with their creators. Leveraging a national rule that mandates the preservation of all published books at the National Library and Archives, IGA invited families to safeguard their holiday culinary heritage in Quebec's first collective cookbook. Not only safeguarding recipes but also celebrating the unique handwriting of their creators and the visual style of bygone kitchen tables, ensuring these cherished familial bonds are forever etched in Quebec's culinary history.
