Snoop Dogg / Rob Lowe / Anjelica Huston
Yellow Pencil / Writing for Advertising / TV & Cinema Advertising / 2009
The aim of the 2008 'Goldspot' campaign was to continue the work of Orange in forging a relationship with cinema-goers by reminding them to turn their phones off during the movie. Cinema-goers were presented with a campaign that offered humorous insights into the film-making industry. Furthermore it gave them the chance to enjoy the role reversals that meant top Hollywood talent appeared vulnerable as the insensitive and ever corporate Orange film board laid waste to their creative ambitions. The campaign aimed to engage cinema-goers by featuring a spread of enticing stars, namely Snoop Dogg, Rob Lowe and Angelica Huston. As the last in the series, it aimed to cap off a six-year campaign that has cemented Orange's relationship with film.
