Ben is the Co-CEO/Co-Founder of the Male Mental Health Charity Talk Club.
Founder/Director of the behaviour change collective Made With+,
and Co-Founder of GoodFest (a creative festival at the beach in Cornwall).
South Londoner Ben, began his career as a copywriter. In the 20 or so years since he’s
worked at some of the world’s most creative agencies in London and Sydney (HHCL,
BBH, Droga5 to name but a few) picking up over 70 national and International award.
But in 2011 just being “creative,” just wasn’t enough and he joined the sustainability
revolution at Republic of Everyone, and began to use his “Evil powers for Good” -where
in 2013 he was named Australian Creative's "Power Top 20.”
After 6 years in Sydney he returned to the UK to Write and Direct (the multi award
winning) documentary “Slowing Down Fast Fashion” presented by Alex James which is
now on Amazon prime.
Since then he’s continued working in ethical and sustainability led projects,
concentrating on behaviour change and creating campaigns and documentaries that are
good for world.
In 2014 his life was turned upside down with the suicide of his childhood of his best
friend Steve Yates. After years of trying to come to terms with this tragedy he decided to
use his evil powers for good and try to stop the next Steve.
So he created a the multi award winning changementary “Steve” that takes a positive
look at male mental health, and tries to help men help themselves.
From here he formed the Talking and Listening movement Talk Club with other
contributors to the film. Talk Club currently has over 2500 male members and 60 clubs,
globally.
Ben lives in Bristol, UK with his wife and 3 kids.
