Andi Rahmat, born in 1985, completed his visual communication design studies in 2008 and began his career as a graphic designer at UNKL347. He holds a keen interest in typography and various other design disciplines, creating designs ranging from 2D to spatial, implementing a harmonious, systematic, and effective design approach. For experience, he worked at Lowe Indonesia and Leo Burnett Indonesia, handling international clients.
In 2013, he co-founded Nusaé with his partner, focusing on visual information system design, including signage systems, environmental graphic design, branding, editorial, and website design. He served as the head of the Indonesian Graphic Design Association Bandung chapter 2015-2017. His work involved designing and planning signage for Husein Sastranegara Airport Bandung. Some of his works were exhibited at various events, including the Frankfurt Book Fair 2017, KECD Seoul International Poster Exhibition, environmental graphic & book design at the andramatin Venice Architecture Biennale, Museum MACAN signage system, and the Venice Art Biennale 2019.
He actively contributed to the development and promotion of Indonesian design quality, participating in events like the Indonesian Architect Week in Seoul 2017 and Rio Brazil 2021. Then, he contributed to enhancing the design quality of the new city named Tulang Bawang Barat Lampung (TUBABA) alongside andramatin and studiodasar. From 2018 to 2022, he served as the Creative Director of Bintaro Design District.
Engaging in various design communities and initiatives, he contributed to knowledge development impacting the quality of life in Indonesia through projects like Saturasi Zine, Idemodern, Bicara Design, Seminyak Design Week, PU.TO, and Fragment Project.
His contributions were recognized with the Pinasthika Award from 2014-2017, the Indonesia Good Design Award 2019, and his membership in ADGI. In 2021 and 2022, he was selected as a jury member for the Young Guns 19 Award in New York and received the Good Design Award Japan (G-Mark) in 2022.
